What's unique about these addictive, low-impact workouts is the use of a ballet barre, or handrail, to help fatigue the muscles until they’re trembling. When the intense hold is finally released, the muscles are mercifully stretched to give them a leaner, carved look. Even the most highly trained runner or triathlete can expect to be sore after a barre-based fusion class, because it isolates and works smaller muscles that are often ignored. The one-hour classes generally include a warm-up, light free weights to tone the triceps, biceps and deltoid muscles in the arm, along with thigh and glute-burning barre work using your own body weight, and mat work on the floor.

This workout will make you rethink what you know about ballet, it's one of those workouts that never stops from beginning to end it's strectching to the extreme. Find the inner ballerina inside of you!
